Installation

This Hot Fix applies to the Pharos Database.

To apply this Hot Fix on SQL Server 7/2000/2005:

1. Open Query Analyzer and log on as sa or Pharos
2. Run the supplied SQL query, discount_rate_calculate.sql, against the Pharos Database.

To apply this Hot Fix on MSDE:

1. Copy the Hot Fix file discount_rate_calculate.sql to a temporary directory on the machine running MSDE.
2. Run the following osql command from the command line:

   osql -S[SERVERNAME] -d[DATABASENAME] -U[USERNAME] -i[FILENAME] -P[PASSWORD]

   Where the parameters [SERVERNAME], [DATABASENAME], [USERNAME] and [PASSWORD] are the values from the registry keys "Server Name", "Database Name", "User Name" and "Password" in the registry under:

   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Pharos\Database Server\Database

   Replace the [FILENAME] parameter with the path and filename of the discount_rate_calculate.sql file that you copied in step 1.

Details

This Hot Fix corrects an issue where Discount Rate Schedules would not work when applied to User Groups. The application of this HotFix ensures that discounts are correctly applied to User Groups.

Note: Due to a known issue with the Print Server, Discount Rates cannot be used with Standard Charging in this release. The workaround for this is to set up Job Cost Methods that replicate the Standard Charging behavior, and use them instead. See the Pharos Knowledge Base article 989 - "Discount Rates Schedules don't work when using Standard Charging" for more information.
