Pharos Announces Integrated Solution for Ricoh MFPs

Rochester, New York (PRWEB) January 27,2009 - Pharos Systems International, the leading provider of software for smarter printing, today announced the launch of the Pharos iMFP for Ricoh, a completely integrated solution for Ricoh multifunction printers (MFPs). This solution harnesses the power of Pharos Blueprint Enterprise and Pharos Uniprint from the touchscreen control panel of selected Ricoh MFPs, enabling a single device to offer Pharos-powered authentication, print release, and chargeback along with the MFP's native print,copy, scan, fax, and e-mail capabilities.

With the Pharos iMFP for Ricoh, users authenticate themselves by swiping their ID card or typing their username/password on a virtual keyboard. Pharos Secure Release Here gives users the freedom to walk up to any iMFP and select the jobs they wish to print using the Pharos print release screen displayed on thetouchscreen. The iMFP can also be configured to enable users to select a cost center for their print/copy jobs.

The Pharos iMFP for Ricoh solution has passed Compatibility Testing offered by the Ricoh Developer Program. It is currently available on the following Ricoh Aficio MFPs:
