Paxton NET2 Integration
EMOS are pleased to have their user synchronisation software with Paxton's NET2 access control system given Certified NET2 Integration status by Paxton.
This simple but effective software runs as a Windows service and reads user records from a SQL Server database table, these records are then inserted, updated or deleted in the NET2 database using the NET2 REST Api.
The software supports the import of user details, their departments, access levels and photo.
Comprehensive logging and error handling identifies whether an error has occurred during the import process.
The software provides an easy means to synchronise the NET2 database with external data sources such as student record systems, HR systems and other directory services.

Instant ID as a Service
EMOS have launched the new Instant ID as a Service (IIDaaS) cloud ID software from Entrust.
IIDaaS provides all of the functionality expected from a traditional ID Card solution but hosts the software in the Cloud. This means that operators can print ID Cards to any managed printer from anywhere, on any device with a browser and without the need for installed software.
EMOS already have a number of customers using the IIDaaS service who benefit from minimal capital costs and a solution that is up and running in minutes rather than days, with minimal implementation effort.

Cartadis CMprint
Cartadis, the global provider of print management hardware and software have recently launched their CMprint terminal.
The CMprint is ideal for control and charging of photocopying and printing in public environments where the users of the service are anonymous, for example public libraries, hotels and airports.
Unlike traditional print and copy management systems that require expensive software and infrastructure to manage printing, the CMprint charges and audits all photocopying and printing through a direct interface with the copier with no need for additional servers or infrastructure.
Not only does the system provide a revolutionary solution for printing and copying, it also removes the need for cash handling by charging users via debit and credit card instead of, or as well as, physical cash.
This can remove the need for any cash handling at the site, reducing cost and improving security for staff.
